TEAM RISP- Beaneaters: 18 for 25 Spiders: 3 for 12

Bobby Lowe had 4 hits and 4 RBI and Jack Stivetts tossed a complete game at
League Park as the Boston Beaneaters embarrassed the Cleveland Spiders by the
lopsided score of 25 to 8.

Lowe enjoyed a fine day at the plate. He slapped a base-hit plating a run in
the 2nd inning, ripped a single knocking in a run in the 4th inning, lashed a
one-base hit in the 7th inning and lined a single which was good for two runs
in the 8th inning. Boston provided plenty of action in the 7th inning when
they had 7 runs on 6 hits and the 8th inning which saw them score 14 runs on
10 hits. Despite scoring in 5 separate innings, Cleveland could not get the
win.

Stivetts(20-13) finished the game allowing 8 runs in the victory. Bobby
Wallace(0-1) was hit with the loss. He got hammered, allowing 24 hits and 11
walks in 9 innings.
