hits and scored 3 times as the dominant Pittsburgh Pirates ballclub
embarrassed the Cincinnati Reds by the count of 14 to 1.
Leever(17-10) escaped virtually unscathed against the Cincinnati hitters. He
didn't allow much, just 5 hits and no walks in 9 innings. Pittsburgh had
many opportunities throughout the game and scored in 6 separate innings.
Orval Overall(19-11) was the losing pitcher. He was hit hard and gave up 15
