the Cincinnati Reds.  The score was 8 to 2.

Pittsburgh scored 6 runs in the 3rd inning when they came up with 5 base hits.
That was all the offense they were to need.  Overall Pittsburgh out-hit
Cincinnati 10 to 7.  

The win went to Nick Maddox(17-4) who allowed 2 runs in 7 and 2/3 innings.
Maddox got help from Chick Brandom who earned his 2nd save.  The loss was
charged to Bob Spade(3-5).
