TEAM RISP- Cubs: 8 for 12 Phillies: 11 for 20

Jimmy Sheckard knocked 2 homeruns and Mordecai Brown completed the game
without help from the bullpen as the Chicago Cubs topped the Philadelphia
Phillies by a score of 20 to 12 at Baker Bowl.

Sheckard had a big day with his bat. He laced a base-hit in the 1st inning,
quieted the crowd by clouting a Grand Slam in the 1st inning, doubled in the
8th inning and cleared the bases with a Grand Slam homerun in the 9th inning.
Chicago kept the scorekeepers busy in the 1st inning which saw them plate 12
runs on 9 hits and the 9th inning when they had 4 runs on 4 hits. Due to a
poorly pitched ballgame, scoring in 5 different innings was still not enough
for Philadelphia to come away with the victory.

The victory went to Brown(15-11) who went the distance allowing 12 runs. Eddie
Stack(5-11) was hit with the loss. He allowed 14 hits and 4 walks in 8 and
1/3 innings.
