Alex Kellner was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game at Griffith Stadium as the Washington Nationals beat the
Cleveland Indians in 10 innings by the count of 3 to 2.

The score was tied at 2 after nine.  Washington won the hard fought contest in
the 10th inning.  After an out was recorded, Joe Adcock smashed a bases-empty
'big-fly' giving Washington the win much to the delight of the home town
crowd.  Washington finished with 8 hits in the victory.  

Kellner(2-5) finished the game allowing 2 runs in the victory. Hoyt
Wilhelm(4-9) took the loss in relief.  He surrendered 1 hit and 1 walk in 1
and 2/3 innings.
