Guy Hecker went 10 solid innings as the phenomenal Louisville Eclipse
outscored the lifeless Pittsburgh Alleghenys in 10 innings 3 to 2.

The score was tied at 2 after nine.  Louisville ended up winning it in the
10th inning.  Hecker lashed a single.  Joe Gerhardt was next to bat, but he
was a strikeout victim.  After another out, Phil Reccius then slapped a
single.  Monk Cline followed and he lined a base-hit giving Louisville the
win much to the delight of the home town crowd.  Louisville totaled 8 hits on
the afternoon.  

The victory went to Hecker(45-15) who went the distance allowing 2 runs. Jack
Neagle(12-23) was tagged with the loss.  'Our guys just weren't seeing the
ball today.' Pittsburgh's manager said.  'Hecker simply dominated us.'
