One run was the difference at Palace of the Fans as the Cincinnati Reds
tallied 4 runs in the 7th inning and defeated the New York-NL Giants 8 to
7.

Cincinnati came up with 4 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning with the help
of 5 hits.  The key at-bat was by Harry Hooper who electrified Palace of the
Fans when he doubled plating two runs.  New York-NL had a chance to come back
in the 9th but they came up short.  

Slim Sallee(10-9) allowed 4 runs in 3 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Pat Ragan was credited with his 9th save.  Joe Lake(10-10) was the
loser.  He allowed 10 hits and 1 walk in 8 innings.
