Lou Boudreau smashed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at Fenway Park as the Boston Red
Sox beat the Washington Nationals 12 to 3.

It was a good day for Boston thanks to Boudreau.  He smashed a bases-empty
'big-fly' in the 1st inning and bombed a two-run dinger in the 2nd inning.
Boston simply wore out the Washington pitching staff, scoring in 6 different
innings.  

The win went to Johnny Sain(25-11) who allowed 3 runs in 8 innings. Warren
Spahn(14-9) was the loser.  He was knocked around by Boston, allowing 6 hits
and 3 walks in 3 innings.
