Shortstop Eddie Joost knocked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the ice-cold New
York Yankees were badly beaten by the Cleveland Indians, 12 to 2.
Joost really 'lit it up' for Cleveland. He banged out a single in the 3rd
inning, blasted a two-run home run in the 6th inning and lifted one out of
the park for a two run home run in the 8th inning. New York was out-hit by
Cleveland, 15 hits to 6.
The win was credited to Howie Fox(15-6) who went 8 innings allowing 2 runs.
Ted Gray(6-8) suffered the loss. He was knocked around by Cleveland,
allowing 10 hits and 3 walks in 5 and 1/3 innings.
'Some days it just all comes together, and this was one of them' Joost said.
'I've been seeing the ball pretty well lately.'
