Preacher Roe went 9 strong innings at Crosley Field where the Cincinnati Reds
beat the Pittsburgh Pirates by the score of 2 to 1.
The game started off with Cincinnati taking the lead in the first scoring a
single run. Both teams' bats went to sleep after the 3rd inning with no runs
scored after that point.
The win went to Roe(13-10) who allowed 1 run in the game. Max Lanier(0-1) was
tagged with the loss. He allowed just 2 runs and 6 hits in 8 innings.
'Roe just dominated us' losing pitcher Lanier said. 'Hopefully we can get to
him the next time around'
