Al Maul pitched a complete game and third baseman Duke Farrell had 2 base hits
and scored 3 times at Robison Field where the Washington Senators beat the
St. Louis Browns by the score of 11 to 8.

Washington claimed the early lead in the first inning when they scored 2 runs
on 2 hits. St. Louis had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up
short.

The victory was credited to Maul(14-20) who went the distance, allowing 8
runs. Dad Clarkson(7-8) was the losing pitcher. He was knocked around by
Washington, allowing 15 hits and 4 walks in 8 and 2/3 innings.

'We lose our concentration for one pitch, and we lose the game.' Bill Watkins
said after the game. 'Maybe now these guys will listen when I say they have
to concentrate on EVERY pitch.'
