John Anderson rocketed 2 homeruns and had 6 RBI and Ed Stein tossed a complete
game at Boundary Field as the Brooklyn Grooms beat the Washington Senators by
the count of 11 to 4.

Anderson propelled Brooklyn to victory. He stroked a one-base hit scoring a
run in the 1st inning, blasted a two-run home run in the 5th inning and
clubbed a three-run home run in the 6th inning. Brooklyn finished with 11
hits in the victory.

Stein(9-16) was the winner allowing 4 runs for the game. The loss was charged
to Varney Anderson(6-18). Brooklyn knocked him around a bit, as he gave up
11 runs in 9 innings.

'I was in my hotel room the other night, working on my swing and made some
adjustments,' Anderson said. 'I'm always working on it. If they are getting
you out certain ways, you've got to make changes.'
