WEB GEMS- Bot 7th: Brooklyn turns a triple play!

Harry McIntire completed the game without help from the bullpen at South End
Grounds as the Brooklyn Dodgers beat the woeful Boston-NL Braves 4 to
3.

Brooklyn won the game with a run in the top of the 9th inning. After an out
was recorded, Red Murray drew a walk. Murray got a great jump and stole
second easily. Tom Jones then reached on an error. Mickey Doolin was up
next and he worked the squeeze play to perfection scoring the run. Both
teams finished the game with 6 hits.

McIntire(9-8) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 3 runs. The loss
was charged to Harry Gaspar(7-16). He pitched 9 innings and surrendered 6
hits and 2 walks.
