Boardwalk Brown completed the game without help from the bullpen and Shoeless

Pittsburgh Pirates by the score of 7 to 5 at Forbes Field.

Boston-AL came through with the game-winning runs in the top of the 9th inning
with 2 runs utilizing 2 base hits. After an out was recorded, Duffy Lewis
got things rolling when he ripped a base-knock. Jackson followed next and he
doubled, and an error was also committed, knocking home two runners.
Boston-AL had 13 hits for the afternoon.

Brown(7-10), allowing 5 runs for the game, picked up the victory. The losing
pitcher was Hooks Dauss(16-11) in relief. It was a tough loss for him as he
