Baseballs were flying all over the ballpark as the Cleveland Indians ran
roughshod over the seemingly hapless Brooklyn Dodgers. The Cleveland offense
rolled up a total of 12 runs!.
Gene Baker had a good day at the plate. He doubled in the 1st inning, tripled
plating all three baserunners in the 2nd inning and banged out a single in
the 4th inning. Cleveland had 18 hits overall, while Brooklyn had 7.
The victory was credited to Steve Gromek(8-13) who went 6 and 2/3 innings,
allowing 2 runs. Bob Grim(1-4) absorbed the loss. He got hit pretty hard,
allowing 10 hits and 3 walks in 3 and 1/3 innings.
