Third baseman Bill Joyce slammed a homerun and had 2 RBI as the Washington
Senators man-handled the Louisville Colonels - the final score was 15 to
4.

The Louisville fans didn't appreciate the big day Joyce had. He ripped a
base-knock in the 5th inning, doubled in the 8th inning and blasted a two-run
home run in the 9th inning. Washington bats were hot in the 7th inning which
saw them plate 7 runs on 5 hits. Washington had many opportunities
throughout the game and scored in 6 separate innings.

Win Mercer(22-14) got credit for the victory, pitching 8 and 1/3 innings and
allowing 4 runs. Jack Wadsworth(4-14) was given the loss. He allowed 19 hits
and 7 walks in 9 innings.
