Frank Owen went the distance and Pep Clark had 3 base hits and 3 RBI at
Hilltop Park where the Chicago White Sox beat the New York Highlanders 9 to
6.

Chicago jumped on top of New York in the 7th inning with 2 runs.  Owen got
things going when he drew a walk.  Fielder Jones followed next and he drew a
walk.  Nixey Callahan then laid down a sacrifice bunt.  Clark followed and he
doubled scoring two baserunners.  A wild affair, this game saw the lead
change 6 times.  

The win was credited to Owen(10-9) who went the whole way allowing 6 runs. The
losing pitcher was Harry Howell(7-7).  He was knocked around, surrendering 9
runs in 8 innings.
