Tom Hughes completed the game without help from the bullpen and center fielder
Tommy Leach smacked 2 triples and scored 3 times at American League Park as
the Washington Nationals beat the Cincinnati Reds 7 to 2.

Washington jumped out to the early lead in the first inning when they came up
with 4 runs on 4 hits.  The early run support proved sufficient for
Hughes(1-4) and Washington.  That was all the run support Hughes required.
Washington totaled 11 hits on the afternoon.  

Ed Summers(12-8) took the loss.  He allowed 6 runs and 10 hits in 7 innings.
