Cincinnati wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning scoring 2 runs
utilizing 3 base hits.  Nellie Fox led off and started the rally when he
laced a one-base hit.  Rivera followed, but he was set down on strikes.  Ted
Kluszewski then doubled.  Larry Doby was up next and he doubled driving in
