WEB GEMS- Bot 6th: Bobby Lowe robbed Hi West of a base hit.

Sam Crawford had 3 base hits and scored 3 times and Frank Kitson allowed
Detroit's manager to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game as the Detroit
Tigers beat the Cleveland Naps by a score of 8 to 6.

Detroit scored 4 runs in the top of the 2nd inning when they had 5 base hits.
The biggest moment was provided by Kitson who quieted the home crowd when he
doubled which was good for two runs. Both teams ended up with 13 hits on the
afternoon.

The win went to Kitson(10-17) who allowed 6 runs in the game. The losing
pitcher was Hi West(0-1). He allowed 13 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings.

'I was a little good, a little bad and a little ugly.' said Kitson, 'I was
just giving us a chance to win.'
