The Cincinnati Reds and the Brooklyn Dodgers locked up in an exciting one-run
game at Redland Field.  The final score was the Cincinnati Reds 7, the
Brooklyn Dodgers 6.

Cincinnati scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning.  The highlight
belonged to John Titus who made the home-town crowd a happy bunch when he
lined a single bringing home two baserunners.  Brooklyn threatened in the 9th
but their rally came up short.  

The win went to Red Ames(11-6) who allowed 4 runs in 7 innings. Babe Adams
recorded his 40th save.  Jean Dubuc(8-17) took the loss.  He gave up 7 runs
and 6 hits in 7 and 1/3 innings.
