Eddie Yost hit 2 doubles at Shibe Park as the Chicago-NL Cubs beat the
Philadelphia-NL Phillies 6 to 1.

Philadelphia-NL was unable to claim the lead after Chicago-NL went ahead in
the 4th inning scoring a single run.  Philadelphia-NL was out-hit by
Chicago-NL, 10 hits to 4.  

The victory was credited to Willie Ramsdell(6-11) who went 6 innings, allowing
1 run. Clem Labine recorded his 6th save.  Tom Morgan(4-6) was the losing
pitcher.  He allowed Chicago-NL 6 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings of work.
