Robin Roberts allowed Robert Baker to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete
game at Yankee Stadium where the New York-AL Yankees beat the Chicago-NL Cubs
3 to 2.

New York-AL came through with the game-winning runs in the 8th inning plating
2 runs.  After an out was recorded, Mickey Mantle started the rally when he
reached on an error.  Eddie Robinson followed next and he bombed a two-run
dinger.  Neither team was able to score until the 7th inning.

Roberts(15-11) got the victory, allowing 2 runs for the game. Willie
Ramsdell(2-4) took the loss in relief.  He surrendered 1 hit and no walks in
1 and 1/3 innings.
