The Buffalo bats were silent in the bottom of the 12th. Ferguson(14-22) allowed 4 runs on the game. Pud Galvin(37-22) was charged with the loss. 'I always am most impressed when a pitcher finds a way to win even without his best stuff,' Harry Wright said after the game.
