Charlie Ferguson pitched a complete game and Jack Manning went deep at Olympic
Park as the Philadelphia Quakers beat the Buffalo Bisons in 12 innings by the
count of 5 to 4.

The score was tied at 4 after nine. Philadelphia came out the victor in the
12th inning. After two outs Bill McClellan lined a single. Tom Lynch
followed next and he doubled scoring the run. The Buffalo bats were silent
in the bottom of the 12th.

Ferguson(14-22) allowed 4 runs on the game. Pud Galvin(37-22) was charged with
the loss. 'I always am most impressed when a pitcher finds a way to win even
without his best stuff,' Harry Wright said after the game. 'Ferguson did not
have command of his pitches most of the afternoon, but he proved he really
knew how to pitch!'
