Knauss(24-2) was tremendous on the mound for Columbus. He was stingy on the mound, allowing just 2 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings. The left-handed Knauss lost his chance for a no-hitter when Reddy Mack singled with two outs in the 8th inning. Columbus banged out 13 hits on the afternoon. Les German(1-5) absorbed the loss.
