Ed Morris pitched a complete game and Fred Carroll had 3 base hits and 3 RBI
at Exposition Park as the Pittsburg Burghers won in dramatic fashion coming
back to beat the New York Giants by the count of 11 to 10.

Pittsburg scored the winning runs in the bottom of the 9th inning with 2 runs
on 2 base hits.  After an out was recorded, Al Maul opened up the rally as he
reached on an error.  After another out, Joe Visner came to the plate and
lined a single.  Jake Beckley then singled, and an error was also committed,
knocking in a run.  Carroll followed next and he was walked intentionally to
load the bases.  Ned Hanlon came up to bat and drew a walk giving Pittsburg
the win as 2,315 happy fans joyfully celebrated.  The game was a wild affair
with the lead changing hands 6 times.  

Morris(11-5) lasted until the end allowing 10 runs for the win. John
Ewing(13-13) was the losing pitcher.  He got hammered, allowing 14 hits and 4
walks in 8 and 2/3 innings.
