Nig Cuppy had a complete game and George Davis hit 2 doubles and had 3 RBI as
the Cleveland Spiders defeated the Pittsburg Pirates by the score of 17 to 12
at League Park.

Davis had a good day at the plate. He doubled resulting in a run in the 1st
inning, ripped a base-knock knocking in a run in the 3rd inning and doubled
bringing in a run in the 8th inning. Cleveland bats were hot in the 3rd
inning with 4 runs on 5 hits and the 5th inning with 4 runs. Due to a poorly
pitched ballgame, scoring in 5 different innings was still not enough for
Pittsburg to come away with the victory.

Cuppy(30-11) lasted until the end allowing 12 runs for the win. Mark
Baldwin(19-26) was the loser. He was knocked around by Cleveland, allowing
16 hits and 6 walks in 8 innings.
