554 fans watched an exciting game at American League Park.  The Washington
Senators topped the floundering Cleveland Blues by the slimmest of margins, 4
to 3.

The score was tied at 3 after nine.  Washington was victorious in the 10th
inning.  After two were out Sam Dungan lined a base-hit.  Boileryard Clarke
stepped into the batter's box and he banged out a single.  Mike Grady then
ripped a single making Washington the victors to the delight of the home town
faithful.  Washington had a total of 11 hits for the game.  

Casey Patten(11-17) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 inning. Bill
Cristall(0-4) was the loser.  He pitched 9 and 2/3 innings and surrendered 11
hits and 2 walks.
