Rube Marquard completed the game without help from the bullpen and right
fielder Red Murray went yard and scored 3 times as the incredible New York
Giants man-handled the St. Louis Cardinals - the final score was 13 to
1.

St. Louis was unable to recover after New York went ahead in the top of the
2nd inning scoring 2 runners on 2 hits.  That early scoring held up.  New
York had a total of 17 hits for the game.  

Marquard(20-8) finished the game allowing 1 run in the victory. Lou
Lowdermilk(0-2) ended up with the loss.  He got hammered, allowing 10 hits
and 2 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings.
