Ed Cushman pitched a complete game as the New York Metropolitans defeated the
Louisville Colonels by the score of 8 to 5 at St. George Grounds.

New York scored 4 runs in the 7th inning.  The score went back-and-forth with
the lead changing 6 times.  

The victory was credited to Cushman(19-19) who went the distance, allowing 5
runs. Ted Kennedy(5-18) was the loser.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 15
hits and 4 walks in 8 innings.
