Ray Caldwell pitched a complete game at Polo Grounds where the New York
Yankees beat the St. Louis Browns by the score of 11 to 3.

The New York fans enjoyed the offense provided by Paddy Baumann.  He delivered
a single bringing in a run in the 4th inning, doubled plating all three
baserunners in the 5th inning and slapped a base-hit in the 7th inning.  New
York finished with 10 hits in the victory.  

Caldwell(16-16) lasted until the end allowing 3 runs for the win. Pete
Sims(0-2) suffered the loss.  He was not very effective, surrendering 7 runs
in 4 and 1/3 innings.  

Wth the win New York now has a record of 61-78. With the loss St. Louis now
has a record of 64-77.
