TEAM RISP- Cowboys: 4 for 12 Monumentals: 4 for 14

Bernie Graham had 3 base hits and 2 RBI and Bill Sweeney completed the game
without help from the bullpen as the Baltimore Monumentals outscored the
Kansas City Cowboys 9 to 6.

Baltimore had the winning rally in the bottom of the 8th inning when they
tallied 5 runs on 4 hits. The biggest moment was provided by Joe Battin who
came through for the home fans when he slapped a base-hit bringing in two
baserunners. Baltimore and Kansas City each finished the afternoon with 9
hits.

Sweeney(35-21) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 6 runs. Jersey
Bakley(16-24) absorbed the loss. He was a hard-luck loser as he did not
allow an earned run in his 8 innings of work.

The Baltimore ballclub's record now stands at 54-37. Still in a bad slump,
with this loss, Kansas City is 2-8 lately and 15-49 on the year.
