Jimmy Williams had 2 base hits at Oriole Park as the Baltimore Orioles beat
the Milwaukee Brewers by the count of 6 to 5.
Baltimore drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning
scoring a single run on 2 base hits. Milwaukee tried unsuccessfully to come
back in the 9th.
The win went to Joe McGinnity(30-11) who allowed 5 runs in 8 innings.
McGinnity was helped out by Frank Foreman who recorded his 3rd save. Bert
Husting(13-12) was hit with the loss. He was unable to control the Baltimore
offense and allowed 11 hits and 4 walks in 8 innings.
Hugh Duffy was in a sour mood after the game. 'Even you guys up in the press
box know why we lost this game. We made too many mistakes.'
