Pittsburgh Pirates beat the New York Giants 7 to 5.

Charlie Case(12-2) earned his pay with a solid performance for Pittsburgh.  He
surrendered 7 hits and 2 walks in 8 innings.  New York made it exciting in
the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs across.  

Howie Camnitz recorded his 5th save.  Red Ames(6-3) was the losing pitcher.
'Anytime you lose it hurts,' said New York's manager 'but it's losing the
close ones that really hurt.'
