Rip Hagerman had a complete game as the Chicago Cubs defeated the Brooklyn
Superbas by a score of 5 to 4 at West Side Park.

The home town fans were very appreciative of the fine hitting performance
provided by Harry Steinfeldt.  He tripled scoring a run in the 4th inning,
tripled which scored a run in the 6th inning and tripled in the 8th inning.
Both teams finished the game with 9 hits.  

Hagerman(9-1) got the victory, allowing 4 runs for the game. George
Hunter(5-8) was charged with the loss.  He pitched 7 and 2/3 innings giving
up 9 hits and 2 walks.
