Ed Beatin completed the game without help from the bullpen at League Park
where the Cleveland Spiders beat the Philadelphia Quakers by the score of 8
to 2.

Philadelphia never recovered after Cleveland took the lead in the bottom of
the 3rd inning when they tallied 3 runs on 2 hits.  That was all the runs
Beatin(22-11) needed.  Cleveland totaled 11 hits on the afternoon.  

Kid Gleason(6-13) was given the loss.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 11
hits and 4 walks in 8 innings.
