Silver King threw a 2 hitter as the New York Giants defeated the Boston
Beaneaters in 11 innings 3 to 2 at Polo Grounds.

The score was tied at 2 after nine.  New York won it in the 11th inning.  Jack
Doyle reached on an error.  Two outs later Jack McMahon came to bat and
reached on an error resulting in an exciting win for New York and a raucous
post-game celebration by the home town fans.  New York had only 6 hits for
the afternoon.  

The win went to King(21-18) who allowed 2 runs in the game. Jack
Stivetts(26-16) suffered the loss.  He allowed just 6 hits and 2 walks in 10
and 2/3 innings.
