Larry Corcoran completed the game without help from the bullpen at Polo
Grounds as the smoking-hot New York Giants belted the struggling Buffalo
Bisons by the count of 15 to 1.
Buffalo found themselves trailing quickly as the New York bats came through in
the first inning when they tallied 2 runs on 3 hits. The early run support
proved sufficient for Corcoran(9-3) and New York. That was all the run
support Corcoran required. New York kept the scorekeepers busy in the 5th
inning which saw them score 6 runs on 6 hits. New York had 21 hits for the
afternoon.
