Roger Connor hit 3 doubles and had 6 RBI at Robison Field as the St. Louis
Browns beat the Cincinnati Reds by the count of 18 to 14.

Connor enjoyed a big day at the plate.  He doubled in the 4th inning, doubled
clearing the bases in the 5th inning and doubled which scored a run in the
6th inning.  St. Louis kept the scorekeepers busy in the 1st inning which saw
them plate 5 runs on 6 hits and the 6th inning with 5 runs on 4 hits.
Cincinnati had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.  

Walter Coleman(1-0) went 8 innings allowing 14 runs for the victory. The loss
was charged to Frank Foreman(14-11).  He was touched for 22 hits and 2 walks
in 8 innings.
