WEB GEMS- Bot 4th: Jack Doyle robbed Mike Tiernan of a base hit.

Joe Corbett pitched a complete game and right fielder Willie Keeler had 2 base
hits and 2 RBI as the strong Baltimore Orioles defeated the New York Giants
by the score of 11 to 10 at Polo Grounds.

Baltimore won the game with a run in the 9th inning. After an out was
recorded, John McGraw stroked a base-hit, and an error was also committed.
Keeler followed next and he laced a single scoring the run. Baltimore took
care of New York with no trouble in the bottom of the 9th.

Corbett(3-1) was the winner allowing 10 runs for the game. The losing pitcher
was Mike Sullivan(13-9) in relief. He was a hard-luck loser as he did not
allow an earned run in his 1 and 2/3 innings of work.
