Willie Mitchell allowed George Stovall to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete
game as the Cleveland Naps defeated the Washington Nationals 6 to 5 at
National Park.

The game was won by Cleveland with a run in the 9th inning. After an out was
recorded, Mitchell doubled.  After another out, Ivy Olson came up and he
delivered a base-hit scoring the run.  Olson took second on the throw.
Cleveland had a total of 9 hits for the game.  

Mitchell(10-10) lasted until the end allowing 5 runs for the win. Bob
Groom(12-13) was given the loss.  He allowed 6 runs and 9 hits in 9 innings.

The Cleveland ballclub's record now stands at 68-75.  With this loss,
Washington has a 5-5 record of late, 60-84 overall.
