Dan Stearns had 4 hits and 3 RBI and Harry McCormick was able to finish what
he started and was credited with a complete game at Bank Street Grounds as
the mighty Cincinnati Red Stockings beat the Louisville Eclipse by the count
of 10 to 3.

Stearns had a good day at the plate.  He doubled which brought home a run in
the 2nd inning, laced a base-hit in the 5th inning, doubled plating a run in
the 6th inning and doubled in the 8th inning.  Cincinnati had 13 hits for the
afternoon.  

The win went to McCormick(17-10) who allowed 3 runs in the game. Guy
Hecker(7-4) ended up with the loss.  Cincinnati scored big getting 10 runs
off him in 8 innings.
