Jouett Meekin was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game as the New York Giants defeated the Washington Senators by the
score of 6 to 5 at Polo Grounds.

New York came up with the deciding runs in the 8th inning scoring 2 runs on 3
base hits. Kid Gleason opened up the inning nicely when he delivered a
single. After an out was recorded, Tom McCreery came up and he slapped a
single. Willie Clark then hit a sacrifice fly scoring a run. Jack Warner
followed next and he was hit by a pitch. Meekin stepped into the box and
singled scoring the final run of the inning. Washington threatened in the
9th but their rally came up short.

Meekin(14-16) allowed 5 runs on the game. Win Mercer(22-18) absorbed the loss.
He allowed 11 hits and 1 walk in 8 innings.
