Win Mercer was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete
game and Dick Harley had 2 base hits as the Detroit Tigers bested the reeling
Cleveland Bronchos 3 to 2 at Bennett Park.

Detroit claimed the early lead in the first inning with 2 runs utilizing 3
base hits.  Harley kicked off the action when he laced a one-base hit.
Harley stole second with some aggressive base running.  One out later, Erve
Beck then hit a deep fly knocking in a run.  Jimmy Barrett followed and he
stroked a base-hit.  Detroit continued their aggressive style with another
stolen base.  Sport McAllister kept the rally going and singled scoring the
final run of the inning.  Detroit managed 7 hits in their victory.

Mercer(16-16) finished the game allowing 2 runs in the victory. The losing
pitcher was Gus Dorner(1-3).  He pitched 8 innings allowing 7 hits and 1
walk.
