Right fielder Watty Lee smacked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and Jack Townsend
went the distance as the Washington Senators outscored the Philadelphia
Athletics 9 to 2.

Lee provided much of the offense.  He smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in the
3rd inning and lofted a three-run bomb in the 6th inning.  Washington had a
total of 13 hits for the game.  

Townsend(13-13), allowing 2 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Tad
Quinn(0-1) ended up with the loss.  He was knocked around pretty good, giving
up 9 runs in 8 innings.
