Nick Altrock(19-10) and Cy Young(16-14) dueled it out with Altrock and the
streaking Chicago White Sox coming out on top of the struggling Boston
Americans by the score of 2 to 1.

The score was knotted at 1 after nine innings. Finally, Chicago prevailed in
the 10th inning. Jiggs Donahue laced a base-knock, and an error was also
committed. After an out was recorded, George Rohe stepped in and he stroked
a one-base hit scoring the run. Although they lost, Boston did out-hit
Chicago 10 to 4.

Altrock got help from Frank Smith who was credited with his 3rd save.
