Right fielder Bob Coulson had 3 base hits and 3 RBI as the Brooklyn Superbas
bested the St. Louis Cardinals 14 to 9 at League Park.

Brooklyn took the lead for good in the top of the 3rd inning when they scored
3 runs on 5 hits.  Brooklyn kept the scorekeepers busy in the 6th inning
which saw them score 6 runs on 5 hits.  St. Louis made it exciting in the
9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs across.  

Pat Ragan(4-3) got the win allowing 8 runs in 8 innings. George Zackert(0-1)
suffered the loss.  He was unable to control the Brooklyn offense and allowed
12 hits and 2 walks in 4 innings.
