Jim Buchanan had a complete game and Harry Gleason had 2 base hits and 3 RBI
as the St. Louis Browns topped the hopeless Washington Nationals by a score
of 7 to 4 at American League Park.

St. Louis scored 5 runs in the top of the 6th inning with the help of 4 hits.
The crucial at-bat was provided by Gleason who deflated the crowd as he
tripled emptying the bases. St. Louis finished with 12 hits in the victory.

The win was credited to Buchanan(4-10) who went the whole way allowing 4 runs.
Rick Adams(2-6) ended up with the loss. He was unable to control the St.
Louis offense and allowed 12 hits and 2 walks in 8 and 1/3 innings.
