The Boston Braves broke out of their 5 game losing streak and cruised to a 11
to 6 victory over the New York Giants at South End Grounds.
Boston scored 5 runs in the decisive 2nd inning when they came up with 4 base
hits. The big moment was provided by Bill Sweeney who made the crowd happy
when he doubled plating two runs. Boston rapped out 14 hits for the
afternoon.
The victory went to Otto Hess(12-12) who went 8 innings, allowing 6 runs.
Bunny Hearn(0-1) suffered the loss. He was unable to control the Boston
offense and allowed 11 hits and 2 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings.
