Buck Freeman smashed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Bill Magee allowed Arthur
Irwin to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game as the Washington Senators
outscored the Boston Beaneaters 8 to 5.

Freeman had a big day with his bat. He smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in the
4th inning, delivered a base-hit knocking in a run in the 5th inning and hit
a bases-empty home run in the 7th inning.  Both teams totaled 10 hits on the
afternoon.  

Magee(12-10), allowing 5 runs for the game, picked up the victory. The loss
was charged to Jouett Meekin(10-17).  He allowed 8 runs and 10 hits in 9
innings.
